A choreography of synchronized shades

This building has a whopping 74 electric awnings densely packed on its facade, so probably just after they were installed some people may have scratched their head. One might wonder if indeed mounting a sun blocking window film hadn't been a more efficient solution. For now, when the sun comes out all the awnings are rolled down in perfect synchrony, with an inspiring choir of buzzing sounds and with a great visual effect to entertain (or puzzle) the incidental passers-by.
