Meteorite man
Keep an eye on the sky

In this series the adventures of a senior man living in a care home [1].

On a peaceful Sunday morning the infamous senior man from the care home went out for a walk to stretch his limbs and found a neatly raked pétanque playing field he had never seen before and imagined how nice it would be to play there with some fellow care home occupants. Before he could finish his musings though he got distracted by a faint rumbling sound which grew louder and louder, reflected by the buildings around. Then all went really fast.

Just in a fraction of a second he was thrown off his feet by a pressure wave and a huge lump of stone crashed down in the middle of the playing field. Quickly recovering, helped by a shot of adrenaline, he noticed a burning smell escaping from the still bubbling mass of stone, and observed that the object looked like a meteorite he saw in a museum the other day. How on earth did it manage to select a landing site exactly here.
