In this series we will follow the development of a research centre for Unilever during its construction.
The photos in this update are taken 6 months after Food for thought 6 (Photos 2018-2), and about 1.5 years after the project was started. In this phase the building has got a corrugated cladding all around in light gray and black, a canopy in front of the entrance, and most glass is mounted.
For the moment the building appears to have a no-nonsense design compared to the exceptional architecture in the environment (photo 2), to say the least, but perhaps it could gain its own dynamics when the site is cleaned up for a better overview.
In this last photo the entrance with the stairs and the canopy. Unfortunately it's on the north side with virtually no sunshine whole year long.
