Side entrance
Two buildings with a brutalist touch

The two neighboring buildings shown here have a dissimilar design but they share common elements in bare concrete, a style usually referred to as brutalism.

Photo 1..4 shows the first building (no. 1)[1], photo 5..8 the second building (no. 2).

The stairs leading to the side entrance of building 1 has many elements hired from building 2 - materials are concrete and diamond plate steel, the canopy is a small version of the roof, and the glass door refers to the glass walls.

The slant edge of the wall has the same angle as the frame of building (photo 2).

In the background of photo 5 we see building 2, pointed to by the ramp to the entrance.

The side entrance on the second building is actually a fire escape with a slender roof. It is a large structure with vertical columns and passages in concrete. The building itself is modern with plenty of glass in contrast.

[1] Photo 1 was cleaned up by removing obstructing branches from trees, so this version of the building is not completely authentic.
