In this series some photos from an area that is cleared from old buildings and leftover fundaments.
These photos are taken 3 weeks after 'Clearance 2' showing the remains of the last building and once more the massive amount of concrete dug up from the previously hidden fundaments.

The apartment building in photo 5 an 6 is close at the edge of the area and groundwater is pumped out too (photo 1), so I hope for them it doesn't sink.
The photo's below are taken two weeks later. They are still digging and it seems they are only halfway.

When the area was still a smooth plane I walked on top of this stuff ('Plaza', 'Steel clad warehouse', 'Broken tiles 1' and 'Broken tiles 2' in the Photos 2014-2 section). At that moment I was completely unaware of what was below my feet.
