About this site

This privately owned informal website from Billy Axeman shows his work as-is. It is a simple repository to which photos are stored on a weekly basis. It is expanding permanently, and the contents is just evolving, along with experiments, projects and small series.

Originally this website started with photos in the categories Architecture, Industrial and Documentary but it has evolved and there is more room now for experiments.

Besides pure photography, the classic categories Found Object (objet trouvé) and Abstract were added later. The website also contains modified photos, graphics and computer generated imagery, the latter notably in Abstract. Lately (from 2023 on) AI generative imaging has been added to the website as a major part.

The main entry to the contents on this site is the Photos link in the page-header. Each year has its own index, split into two 6-months groups (for example Photos 2016-1, 2016-2). An overview of all the photos and other imagery, old and new, can be found in Archives, which doubles as a site map. Themed and ongoing series of photos are listed in the Series index sorted by subject.

The New link shows the most recent additions. This site can also send them to you via RSS (see the button in the page header). The contents of the RSS feed are actually a copy of the New page. The About page you are reading now is regularly updated to reflect the most recent state of the website.

All the photos and other illustrations are copyrighted, it is not allowed to use them elsewhere.
