This website is a repository for .NET/C# and Silverlight resources and tutorials. It has also news pages with recent tech news. Main focus is on WPF, Silverlight, XAML and XML.
Sections
There are three main sections, .NET, Silverlight and XML. The .NET section is the larger part and mainly focuses on WPF. There is also information about XBAP (XML Browser Application), XAML (Extensible Application Markup Language), XPS (XML Paper Specification) and related material. The Silverlight section is dedicated to RIAs and extensions for (X)HTML web pages. The XML section has a general part with introductions and an experimental part with articles.
Audience
This website is for .NET developers, with Visual Studio as IDE and C# as programming language. Novice programmers are addressed particularly, with examples, attention to basic principles and details. Most code is made width Visual C# Express, a free development environment.
Copyright
All data and code from this website can be used freely, unless noted otherwise. Most illustrations are copyrighted.
Independence
When dealing with .NET and C# it is inevitable that Microsoft techniques and tools are used and also the news sections contain much Microsoft news. This website, however, is not intended to promote Microsoft products and it is not sponsored by Microsoft by any means (or any other sponsor). This is an independent website.
Privacy
No personal information or preferences are collected. Cookies and Web Beacons are not used.
Disclaimer
The information on this website is provided on an 'as is' basis. Most code is experimental and not suitable for production directly. Use it according to your own insight and requirements.
See also the disclaimer at the end of this page.

This is an original hand-made web site! A home-made XML validator is used for testing the well-formedness of the pages. The pages are small and lean to make them quick-loading and crisp to handle. No adds, no banners, no temptation to sign up. Just data.
Browsers
The pages are adapted to the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera. Older browsers (notably IE6, IE7) might work but are not supported actively. This is a flash-free website. Some pages contain Silverlight, but only for experiments.
News feeds
A log with the website updates is available as RSS and Atom feed. It is a copy of the 'Last updates' page, mainly containing announcements of new articles.
Illustrations
Most illustrations are made with custom pattern generators (XAML) or with Inkscape, they are copyrighted.
The favicon for this website contains a square in a square. With squares you can assemble other squares, as you can see from the patterns used as illustrations on this website. It is just a building block, like functions and classes in code.

This is a one-way repository for .NET/C# stuff without a possibility for feedback in the form of a blog or mail. It is a repository 'as is'.
